Why I'm doing this
Scholarship covers school, not the season. My community can cover the rest.
My story
I grew up playing on the sand in Long Beach with my cousins, then walked on as a freshman and earned a starting spot by my sophomore year. Between team travel, club dues in the off-season and the strength camps that keep me healthy, the season costs more than my scholarship covers. The people who drove me to weekend tournaments for ten years are the same people backing me now — that is what community sponsorship means to me.
