Acceptable Use Policy

Who this applies to

This policy applies to every athlete, team, sponsor and visitor using SPNSRD. It sits alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Because payments are processed by Stripe, you must also comply with Stripe's Restricted Businesses list and Services Agreement. If the two ever differ, the stricter rule applies.

What SPNSRD is for

Sponsorship pages exist so a community can voluntarily support an athlete's or team's training, travel, entry fees, gear and competition costs. Sponsorships are voluntary contributions — not purchases, investments, loans, or tax-deductible donations — and nothing may be sold or promised in return.

Illegal or restricted goods and services

• Narcotics, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, or any products that facilitate drug use
• Cannabis, CBD, kratom, nootropics and similar age- or region-restricted substances
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, gun parts, 3D-printed firearms and related accessories
• Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized goods, and intellectual property infringement
• Endangered or protected wildlife, ivory, or products made from them
• Tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping products and alcohol sales

Regulated financial activity

• Investments, securities, equity, loans, debt collection, or promises of financial return
• Cryptocurrency, token sales, mining, NFTs and speculative digital assets
• Money transmission, currency exchange, cash-advance, escrow, or stored-value services
• Credit repair, debt-relief, or get-rich-quick and multi-level marketing schemes
• Gambling, betting, sports wagering, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes and games of chance

Sanctioned countries and people

• Creating a page, or receiving payouts, from a country under comprehensive sanctions or embargo
• Sponsoring, or raising money in support of, a person, team, event or cause located in one of those countries
• Anyone on a government sanctions or denied-party list, or acting on their behalf
• Using another person's identity, address or bank account to get around these restrictions

Fraud, deception and misuse

• Misrepresenting who you are, your sport, your goal, or how funds will be used
• Fundraising on behalf of someone else without their clear permission
• Card testing, self-sponsoring to launder funds, or any attempt to obtain a cash advance
• Money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or bribery
• Charitable or disaster-relief solicitation you are not authorized to conduct

Harmful and unsafe content

• Adult content, sexual services, escort services, or sexually suggestive imagery
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, violence, or content targeting protected groups
• Exploitation of minors in any form
• Doping products, unapproved supplements, or unproven medical and health claims
• Malware, hacking tools, account credentials, or services intended to bypass security

Restricted — allowed only with prior written approval

• Athletes under 18 (a parent or guardian must own and operate the account)
• Pooled fundraising for a group where you are not the authorized representative
• Events involving high-risk activities that require special licensing or insurance
• Any offer of goods, products, or services in exchange for a sponsorship
• Political fundraising, campaign contributions and lobbying activity

Enforcement

We may remove content, pause a page, hold or reverse payouts, close accounts and report activity to our payment partner or law enforcement — with or without notice — when we believe this policy has been breached. Our payment partner may independently restrict or terminate payment processing for the same reasons.

If you see a page that breaks these rules, use the report option on that page or reach us through our contact page. We review every report.
