1. What SPNSRD is
SPNSRD is a technology platform that lets athletes and teams create a page so their community can sponsor them. We are not a charity, a bank, a broker, a fundraiser, or a payment processor. We do not hold your money, and we are not a party to any agreement between an athlete and a sponsor.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 (or have a parent or guardian manage the account for you) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account, your password, and everything posted from your account.
3. Payments
All payments are processed by our third-party payment partner (Stripe), and are subject to their terms. Sponsorship amounts are shown in USD; other currencies are display-only approximations. Processing fees are added at checkout and a platform fee is deducted from each sponsorship. Payouts require a connected payout account and may be held, delayed, reviewed, or reversed where required for fraud prevention, chargebacks, or legal reasons.
4. Sponsorships are not refundable by us
Sponsorships are voluntary contributions, not purchases, investments, or tax-deductible donations. They are not guaranteed, not refundable through SPNSRD, and carry no promise of any result, performance, product, or service. Any refund or dispute is handled between the sponsor, the athlete, and the payment partner.
5. Athlete responsibility for funds
Athletes and teams are solely responsible for how they use funds they receive, for any statements made on their page, and for all taxes owed. An "Identity Verified" badge only means our payment partner has confirmed the legal name of the account receiving funds.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant SPNSRD a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and promote it in connection with the platform. Don't post anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, infringing, or that you don't have the rights to. We may remove content or suspend accounts at any time, for any reason.
7. Prohibited use
No fraud, misrepresentation, money laundering, illegal fundraising, harassment, scraping, or attempts to interfere with the platform. Violations may result in immediate suspension and withheld payouts.
8. No warranty
SPNSRD is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will raise any amount, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any user is who they claim to be.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SPNSRD and its owners, operators, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any lost funds, lost profits, or lost data arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the platform fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SPNSRD from any claim, loss, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, your fundraising, or your breach of these terms.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration or in small-claims court — no class actions.
